Application
Minor Application Form (Word format or .pdf format)
Note:
- Prerequisites for Nutr 445 include Nutr 251, Nutr 358, Biol 141 and BMB 211.
- Because BMB 211 has an organic chemistry prerequisite, it takes at least five semesters to progress through the chemistry sequence of the nutrition minor. That sequence is as follows:
* Chem 101/110 --> Chem 202 --> BMB 211 --> Nutr 445 --> Nutr 446 - Nutr 446 is the prerequisite for Nutr 452 and 453. If those courses are desired, an additional semester will be required.
University policy requires that students be officially IN a major before they may enroll in a minor. The student and the major adviser should sign and complete an application form for the minor before the person in charge of the minor will sign it. Please see Penn State's Minor Policy for additional considerations regarding minors at Penn State.
