The Nutrition Clinic offers individual nutrition counseling to Penn State students, faculty, and staff. The many services provided by a registered dietitian and trained nutrition students can help you:
- Assess your nutritional status
- Tailor your diet to meet your individual needs, such as designing meal plans to help you gain or lose weight; control diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease; or maximize your fitness level
- Understand the special nutritional adjustments required by a vegetarian lifestyle
- Decide whether you need nutritional supplements
- Change dietary habits that may contribute to disordered eating
- Develop healthful eating patterns while coping with the pressures of campus life
- Design a nutritious diet within limited financial resources
- Make healthful selections from the dining hall menu
- Set realistic nutrition goals and ways to meet them

Counseling services are free to Penn State students, staff, and faculty.
After completing a Nutrition Clinic History Form (80KB .pdf), an individual will be contacted by email for an appointment. Forms are also located on the door of room 235 Ritenour Building or in 121 South Henderson Building.
Clients are seen initially for about a one-hour consultation, and follow-up appointments are arranged as needed. Up to six visits per semester are permitted unless otherwise indicated. A clinician referral is not necessary.
The Nutrition Clinic is sponsored jointly by Penn State University Health Services, a unit of Student Affairs and the Department of Nutritional Sciences, College of Health and Human Development.
