Student Research Opportunities

The Department of Nutritional Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University provides research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Students interested in graduate research need to review the webpage for the Graduate Program in Nutrition.

Undergraduate students wanting research experience need to:

  1. Review faculty interests (See Faculty Profiles.)
  2. Contact a faculty member who is doing research that interests you. Be prepared to discuss the following
    • Why you have an interest in the faculty's research area.
    • What skills you have to offer.
    • How much time you have to commit to a project(s).
  3. Complete forms for course credit. Forms are available in the main office of the Department of Nutritional Sciences. Faculty approval is required to receive credits.
