Breakfast after First Period at the high school is an outstanding feature of the Homer–Center School District’s breakfast program. Director Susan McLoughlin collaborated with administrators to adopt this programming solution that provides benefits all through the system. They have another trick up their sleeves for the future of the secondary breakfast program: sustained silent reading during the homeroom time when breakfast is served. To go along with that, Universal Free breakfast will be implemented in both of the district’s buildings in a new attempt to increase participation even more.
