
Call for Entries for Pennsylvania Promising Practices
Schools throughout Pennsylvania are implementing creative and successful strategies to promote student health, wellness, and academic success. We’d like to share these strategies with other schools. Do you have a “Promising Practice” that you’d like to share with others? If so, you can share your information through this website. “Promising Practices” are being sought in three areas:1. Implementing One or More Components of CDC’s Coordinated School Health Model, including activities in any of the following areas:
• Health Education
• Physical Education
• Health Services
• Nutrition Services
• Counseling and Psychological Services
• Healthy School Environment
• Health Promotion for Staff
• Family/Community Involvement
2. Initiating or Expanding School Breakfast Programs, including activities in any of the following areas:
• Improving the Nutritional Quality of School Breakfast Foods Offered
• Maintaining a Successful School Breakfast Program at the High School Level
• Gaining Support for School Breakfast Among Various Groups
• Implementing Alternative School Breakfast Delivery Systems
• Other School Breakfast “Promising Practices”
