Application Process

Pennsylvania State University Dietetic Internship accepts ten students each year.

Action Deadline
Send all materials listed certified return:
  • Three letters of recommendations
    • Required to have at least one letter from a registered dietitian
    • Recommended to have one letter from an employer
    • (Download recommendation form in Word format.)
  • Standard American Dietetic Association application form (Download application in Word format.)
  • Official transcripts from all schools
  • Verification Statement
    or Declaration of Intent
  • Personal Statement
  • Application fee of $50. Make check out to "Pennsylvania State University"
Optional
  • Take GRE and have scores sent to Department of Nutritional Sciences

After initial screening, a personal or telephone interview may be scheduled. Personal interviews are preferred. If not possible, a phone interview can be arranged. Applicants will receive notification by Feburary 22, 2010. If they will be scheduled for an interview, interviews will be held on March 4, 5, 6, 19, 29 or 20, 2010.
