Application Process

Pennsylvania State University Dietetic Internship accepts ten students each year.

Action Deadline
Send all materials listed certified return:
  • Three letters of recommendations
    • Required to have at least one letter from a registered dietitian
    • Recommended to have one letter from an employer
    • (Download recommendation form in Word format.)
  • Standard American Dietetic Association application form (Download application in Word format.)
  • Official transcripts from all schools
  • Verification Statement
    or Declaration of Intent
  • Personal Statement
  • Application fee of $50. Make check out to "Pennsylvania State University"
Optional
  • Take GRE and have scores sent to Department of Nutritional Sciences

After initial screening, a personal or telephone interview may be scheduled. Personal interviews are preferred. If not possible, a phone interview can be arranged. Applicants will receive notification by March 5, if an interview will be conducted later in March.
