Ph.D. Thesis Committee
The doctoral committee is responsible for the general guidance of the student, and will consist of four or more faculty with at least three who are members of the Graduate faculty. In the instance of a declared minor at least one representative from the program that constitutes the minor must be on the thesis committee. When there is not a declared minor, one of the members of the thesis committee must be from outside the candidate's major program. This committee member may or may not be a member of the Graduate Program in Nutrition, but this member must be outside the candidate's home department. The committee is appointed through the Office of Graduate Student Programs, upon recommendation of the Director of the Graduate Program in Nutrition.
