How to apply
Graduate Program in Nutrition
- To formally apply to the Graduate School, choose one of the two methods
below:
- Electronic
Application
- Downloadable application View and Print (.pdf
format) or Type On and Print (.pdf format)
- You will need to print 2 copies
- You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to access the downloadable application
as well as the following required forms. If you do not currently have
Adobe Acrobat Reader, please visit Adobe's
web site to obtain the free software.

- One copy of the graduate School application, if you did not file electronicly.
- Non-refundable $60 application fee for paper applications. The fee for
electronic application is $45.(Applications without fees cannot be
processed).
- Make payable to The Pennsylvania State University.
- International money order or a check must be drawn on a U.S. bank.
- Canceled check serves as your receipt.
- Credit cards cannot be processed with the PDF downloadable graduate
school application form.
- DO NOT SEND CASH.
- Please attach generated Fee Form if you filed your application electronically
and you did not pay by credit card.
- Then get the following documents together and Mail To:

- One copy of the graduation school application, if you did not file electronically.
- Two official transcripts from all institutions of higher education attended,
both undergraduate and graduate. Click on Transcript Request (item C)
- International applicants must submit official or attested university
records, with certified translations if records are not in English.
Notarized copies are not sufficient.
- Scores from Graduate Record Examination Aptitude Test (GRE)
- TOFEL (Test of English as a Foreign Language (International students
only)
- The Graduate Program in Nutrition requires a minimum score of 550
(paper based) or 213 (computer based).
- Application for Visa Document/Financial Certification (International
students only, item C).
- Biographical sketch
- Statement of educational objectives
- Three letters of recommendation
- Department's student interest form (item B).
The deadline for submission of all appliction materials for Fall semerster
is February 15th.
