Research Interests
- regulation of cerebral nutrient transport and metabolism
- mechanistic basis for understanding the role(s) of nutrient
transporters in both vulnerability and survival from different
cerebral stresses
- determine specific transporter's roles in cellular metabolism
during normal and perturbed cerebral function, such as might
occur in diabetes and stroke
