Mission of the Undergraduate Program
The mission of the undergraduate program is to provide students with a didactic program that covers the breadth of knowledge in nutrition from molecules to organisms to populations, provides opportunities for research, and offers practical experiences and training.
Mission of the Graduate Program
The graduate program provides leadership and a central focus for nutrition research and education in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It enhances the quality and breadth of nutrition by integrating resources and expertise across departments and colleges. It responds to new needs and seeks out new funding sources. It gives clear visibility to The Pennsylvania State University and its contributions in this area. The research and teaching program encompasses many areas of nutrition as applied to man and animals.
Mission of the Dietetic Internship
The Penn State University Nutrition and Dietetic Internship Program promotes the integration of knowledge in the nutritional sciences and the development of skills necessary for excellence in dietetics practice to improve the health of the individual and society.
